What is the Best LCD or Plasma HD TV for under £600? I have 3 i'm considering?

Panasonic TH37PX80 SHARP LC37X20E Toshiba 37XV505 I am looking at a 37inch but would consider 40-42. I want one primarily for blu ray and for PS3. On these three TVs its confusing because the Panasonic gets the best rating but is not full HD. I think the Sharp one looks good but not sure. Any ideas or comments?

Full hd is just a marketing ploy to get you to spend extra money for little gain. Most broadcast tv is transmitted at 720p, so the tv would have to upscale to the full 1080. I would personally skip the 37" market and jump straight to a 42" plasma. The early plasma's were poor, but that was 5 or 6 years ago. The only downside to plasma is they cost about a lightbulbs worth more to run per hour than an lcd. At the £600 mark, LG make some wonderfull plasmas. I have an hd ready tv and ps3. What would be the best way to improve sound quality?

I've just bought a new hd ready tv and ps3 and im now looking into buying a surround sound system. I don't have a clue when it comes to technology so am looking for any advice on what would be the best speaker system to buy to improve the sound quality and volume.

What is the best resolution for my xbox 360 via HDMI out to a HD ready TV (wxga), 720p or 1080i?

I have a LCD TFT rated as HD Ready. It's actual resolution is a wxga resolution 1440 x 900. So it is capable of displaying at a higher resolution than the 720p standard. So, should i have my Xbox send its output out (via HDMI) above the rated resolution at 1080i and so allow the TV to downscale, or have the xbox send output out below the rated resoltion at 720p and allow the TV to upscale?

I prefer the 1080i but it comes down to the tv and preferences. If you don't mind the downscale, use the 1080i.

That is way too open ended of a question. You need to consider some things first. a) Budget b) Size of set and where it's going c) What do you watch? (Movies, sports, regular cable, etc.) Many people have different needs or uses from a set and that will determine what is "best" for you. I would visit www.cnet.com and check out their HDTV reviews to get an idea of what models are rated higher.

Hi well up to 42" LCD is the best, over and upwards Plasma is far superior,remembering Plasma uses far more power than LCD HD comes in 2 types 768 which is OK but not true HD & 1080i more expensive but is the ants pants and u will need to use home theatre system to get full effect,this sytem also can be hooked up to blue ray Hope this helps Ciao ♥

How to get the best graphics on my hd tv when playing my xbox?

i have a Bush L22T11W-A and have connected the xbox to the tv with an hdmi cable. I currently have the sittings on 1080p resolution and the graphics are good but could be better. If i set it to a lower resolution, will it work better with my tv?

The only improvement would be if it's 1080p, but you're going to have a beautiful picture with that, especially with the HDMI connection.

Panasonic PZ100.Plasma. A great tv the best for the money...Pioneer are the kiddies but are twice as dear.Go for the Panasonic the new PZ100 has built in HD free view. I've got a 42inch the pictures are great through my PlayStation 3,blu ray pictures are awesome and everyday tv pictures are as good as they get. A great all round performer. Oh yeah plasma beats LCD the pictures look more real and have greater depth.And you won't get eye strain Check the prices on the internet should be reasonable.
